Le Sueur Minnesota

Named in honor of Frenchman Pierre Charles Le Sueur,  the city of Le Sueur is located 30 miles south of the Twin City metro area.  The small town atmosphere provides affordable housing, safe neighborhoods, along with excellent medical services and schools.

One of the early residents was Dr. W.W. Mayo who later went on to found Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

The Green Giant company was started in Le Sueur with the original plant and warehouse operating from 1903 to 1995. In 1979 the Green Giant company was purchased by the Pillsbury Company and is now owned by General Mills.

The Le Sueur Community Center also provides recreational, physical fitness and sports activities throughout the year that the entire family can enjoy.
