Shakopee Minnesota

Located in the southwest corner of the Twin Cities metro area is the city of Shakopee, MN.  Shakopee has the atmosphere of a small town but is still close enough to the busy metropolitan cities.

Shakopee is the County Seat of Scott County and with a population of over 32,000 people, it has its own Regional Medical Center, business park and is host to regional entertainment attractions.  These include Valley Fair Amusement Park and  Canterbury Park Racetrack which has had thoroughbred racing since 1985. Shakopee is also home to the Historic Murphy's Landing.  Visitors can experience life in Minnesota in the 1840 's through 1890. It is a living history museum along the Minnesota River in which authentic buildings and costumed actors show you what it was like to live during that time.
